Submission Procedure
  • Access the Library Thesis Submission System (http://library.yonsei.ac.kr) → Research → 강의지원→ 학위논문제출 → 제출매뉴얼 숙지 → 제출 사이트 바로가기(http://dcollection.yonsei.ac.kr) → 온라인 파일 제출 → 제출처 검증 후 승인 → "제출내역"에서 저작권동의서와 제출확인서 출력 → 학위논문 4부와 저작권동의서, 제출확인서 지참 후 학위논문 제출처 방문 → 학위논문 및 저작권동의서, 제출확인서 제출
  • 제출확인서는 일반대학원은 학위논문 제출처(학술정보관 1층 전시실)에,
    타 대학원은 소속 대학원 사무실에 개별적으로 제출

Submission Materials
  • Online submission: original file in PDF
  • Submission of the final copy: four copies of the dissertation (including one original document with signatures from all reviewers)
    (however, five copies are required for online private dissertations and dissertations from the department of Law)
    • One copy of the submission confirmation document
    • One copy of the copyright agreement document
Submission Location
  • Thesis submission location: Yonsei-Samsung Library first floor MakerSpace
    (For students on the Mirae Campus, submit your thesis to the Mirae Central Library, and submit the ‘Submission Confirmation Document’ to the Mirae Campus Graduate School Administrative Support Team)
Submission Date and Time
  • Adherence to Submission Deadline: Ensure that the submission deadline is not missed due to the omission of signatures from the review committee.
  • Online Submission: July 2, 2024 (Tuesday) 09:00 to July 8, 2024 (Monday) 17:00 (available at all times throughout this period)
  • Hard Copy Thesis Submission: July 9, 2024 (Tuesday) to July 15, 2024 (Monday) 09:00 to 17:00 (excluding weekends, strictly adhere to the period)

How to Submit your Thesis
  1. 1. Thesis Online Submission
    • Submission period: 2024. 7. 2.(Tue) 09:00 ~ 7. 8.(Mon) (anytime during this 24-hour period)
    • Submission method: Access the thesis online submission website (http://dcollection.yonsei.ac.kr/) -> Login and submit (ID/PW is the same as Yonsei Portal)
    • Online submission format: only PDF (hwp, doc files are not accepted and may cause errors if submitted in a format other than PDF.)
    • 책자 제본용 최종파일과 동일한 것으로 제출
    • For online submissions, signatures from the thesis examiners on the signature page are not required, but the names of the examiners must be written
      (however, for the submission of a thesis booklet, signatures must be included in the original copy)
    • Thesis booklets must be submitted after the online submission has been accepted.
    • For specific procedures on submitting thesis, please follow the thesis online submission manual(attachment) from the library website announcement.

  2. 2. Hard-Bound Thesis (In-Person) Submission
    • Submission period: 2024. 7. 9.(Tue) ~ 7.15(Mon) 09:00 ~ 17:00 (excluding weekends, strictly adhered to the deadline)
    • Submission location: Yonsei-Samsung library 1F MakerSpace
    • 제출부수: 석사, 박사 하드커버 4부

      * 인준서에 심사위원 도장 또는 서명이 날인된 원본 1부 + 사본 3부

      ** 단, 온라인 비공개 학위논문, 일반대학원 법학과 학위논문은 5부

    • Submission materials:
      • ① One copy of Copyrights Usage Agreement with your signature
      • ② One copy of Thesis Submission Confirmation Form with your signature/seal (submit to your affiliated graduate school or for general graduate students, please submit it to the submission location mentioned above).

      * 이용동의서, 제출확인서는 온라인 제출 승인 이후 출력 가능

Thesis Document File Format and/or Submission
  1. Submit as a PDF file. (hwp or doc files are not accepted)
  2. For online submissions, please submit the final version identical to the hard-bound thesis.
  3. For online submission, one must include the confirmation statement sheet with the names of the thesis committee members (required).

    Though signatures or seals from the committee are not required for online submission, you must include signatures/seals from all committee members for the hard-bound copy and submit both original document and a copy.

Different Guidelines for Pagination

To format the title page, table of contents, and body into a single document, use both Roman and Arabian numbers for pagination.

Thesis Format Verification

A degree thesis must conform to a consistent format, standard, and structure along with its content. Therefore, the degree thesis should be prepared according to the guidelines set forth in 「New Thesis Writing Method」 (「새논문작성법」) published by Yonsei University Press and the internal regulations concerning graduate school degree theses (Graduate School Rules and Regulations Handbook). Additionally, please ensure that the format is reviewed and approved by your academic advisor.

Additional Information
  1. Deadline for Submission of Final Degree Thesis Review Report: 2024. 6. 24(Mon) (Submit to respective department offices and complete input into the portal system).
  2. PhD Dissertation Publication: According to the enforcement ordinance of the Ministry of Education and Article 19 (Publication of Degree Thesis) of the Graduate School regulations, a doctoral dissertation must be published within one year of the date of acceptance.
    • * The publication details must be communicated with the department office.
    • * Forms of Publication - Online publication, publication as a book, submission to relevant academic journals, publication in periodicals, submission to scholarly journals, or presentation at academic seminars.
  3. Change of Thesis Title: If the title of the degree thesis (in Korean or English) is changed, you must apply for the title change in the Academic Portal and contact the department office for approval. (Title change period: Until 2024. 07. 15(Mon)).
  4. English Name Verification: Since the degree certificate and various English certificates are issued based on the English name in the Academic Portal System, it is recommended to verify your English name through the Academic Portal System and ensure it matches the English name in your thesis and passport.
  5. Virus Check: Ensure the document is free of viruses using V3, Vibrobot, PC-Cyrillin, etc., before uploading.
